Exam days are provisionally arranged for ballet in July and Modern/Tap/Jazz end September/beginning October. We’ll let you know the exact dates as soon as we have them. But most excitingly, there is an exam open to everyone from Grade 1 up in any dance style! It’s part of the ISTDs Olympic Celebrations and is a lovely opportunity to take this one off exam! The ISTD 2012 AWARD
IMPERIAL THEATRE FACULTIES
The ISTD is proud to present a unique examination to celebrate the Olympics in 2012.
The examination for the Award is designed to embrace all forms of dance within the Imperial Theatre Faculties. It is hoped that all teachers will use this Award as part of their Olympic celebrations.
What does a candidate receive?
The candidate receives a specially designed Award, certificate and report form. (Candidates may take more than one examination but the Award and certificate will be identical).
Dress
Appropriate dress and footwear for the examination being taken should be worn.
Examination cost
The two-dance examination will cost £15.00 plus a centre fee of £10 to contribute towards the cost of the venue, pianist/music operator, examiners lunch and at least one additional exam class.
This Award will take the format of a two-dance test, two dances of any style, taken at the grade held by the candidate at that time. The level of each dance may be different within the same examination.
Level of Candidate
If entering an experienced candidate then enter at the level previously achieved. If entering a first time candidate in a faculty then enter at the level you normally would for that person.
Time limit
Five minutes for one candidate, – Twenty minutes for four.
