I am deeply sorry to have to let you know that one of our students Sam Cashen passed away peacefully on Monday following her battle with cancer. Sam’s family have asked me to let you all know and to pass on fuller details of the funeral arrangements when we have them so that as many people as possible can attend.
Sam was a delightful girl and will be sorely missed by everyone who knew her and I’m sure many of us will want to attend her funeral on Friday 26th August in Lymington Church.
We all pass our love and best wishes to her family at this sad time but we are also determined that something positive can come out of this terrible situation. The Dancewise team will be Walking the Testway in October to raise money for Oakhaven Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of both Sam and Lorraine. If you feel you’d like to join the Dancewise team for this event, or to sponsor us please let me know. It is also likely that Dancewise will be involved in a fundraising concert in Sam’s memory. We will keep you updated with details as I’m sure lots of the students will want to be involved.
