Julia and Mike, Sam’s parents have been in touch and have passed on the following details about Sam’s funeral. Everyone is welcome at the Church, and at the burial, and afterwards at Lymington Community Centre – please feel free to come to any part or all of the arrangements.
Sam’s funeral will be at the little Catholic Church at the bottom of Lymington Hill at 1.30 pm this coming Friday, 26th August. Sam’s burial will follow at Highfield Cemetery which is near/in Pennington and afterwards there is to be a gathering at Lymington Community Centre which is up from the Library and along the road from the St Barbe Museum. Julia and Mike anticipate being there from about 3.30 pm but if anyone prefers not to go Sam’s Burial, they are most welcome to go straight to the Centre.
Sam’s favourite colour was blue so if you would like to send flowers could you bear that in mind and also Julia asked if you can wear something blue, ie a tie, top or similar. Alternatively, donations can be made to Oakhaven or The Brains Trust. Flowers and donations should go to G House Undertakers at 8 St Thomas Street, Lymington.
Julia and Mike are also remembering Sam’s love of her rabbit – and there will be cuddly rabbits for any child who would like one. If you attend but your child is not with you, then Julia and Mike would love it if you took a baby bunny home for your offspring.
Parking facilities: any of the town’s car parks but probably most convenient for the Church is the one at the back of Tesco’s. This is also just a minute’s walk to the Community Centre.
