Firstly thank you again to everyone who already has their name down to dance at Rose Roads Community day tomorrow! And if you haven’t signed up yet, it’s not too late! Come along tomorrow – the more the merrier! We will be on lower shopping in the event space between the lifts and Marks and Spencer’s. Alison is aiming to be there from 10:15am so find her and we’ll go from there. Dancers should be there 30 minutes before their class is due to start. Feel free to take part in both classes if you’re able to! Our programme is: 11.00am – 11.15am – Street Dance Class – all ages, all abilities, turn up in stuff you can move in easily (preferably including a Dancewise hoodie or t shirt if you have one), have fun and let’s show the people of Southampton how much fun street dance at Dancewise is! NB You don’t need to have done any street dance before to take part in this! Older students feel free to try and encourage people watching to join in! 11.45am – 12.00pm – Irish Dance Class – all ages, all abilities, turn up in Irish Uniform if you have it or stuff you can move in easily if you don’t (preferably including a Dancewise hoodie or t shirt if you have one), have fun and let’s show the people of Southampton how much fun Irish can be when you do it the Dancewise way! NB You don’t need to have done any Irish dance before to take part in this! Older students feel free to try and encourage people watching to join in! Hair for both classes should be neat and off the face but no set style. The idea is to help The Rose Road Association raise their £5,000 target as well as promoting classes at Dancewise and most importantly having FUN! If you want to be involved but aren’t sure about dancing, we’ll need help giving out flyers as well as encouraging the public to join in! Be part of it! See you tomorrow!
