We’re back to dancing on Monday 9th January – what an exciting term we have coming up – So You Think You Can Dancewise, our show at the Nuffield Theatre in April, we have a second branch opening in Shirley in addition to our Holbury branch, plans for Days of Dance are underway and we have exams planned for the Summer Term.  Exciting times!

Hey Zumbettes! You should all have had a message if we have a mobile number for you but just to let you know that there is no Zumba tonight or Thursday but we’re back with bells on on Saturday! See you then!

Come along for teen/adult street dance tonight 7:15 – 8:00pm at Dancewise.  Old skool Michael Jackson routine tonight – gonna be fab! Don’t miss it!

Love Zumba? Love Christmas? Then what could be better than the Zumba at Dancewise Christmas Shimmy & Tinsel Party!
All your Zumba faves plus some Christmassy dances – feel free to come wearing tinsel/Christmas fancy dress etc. Bring some nibbles too and we’ll boogie a few pounds away before the indulgences of the fesitve season kick in!
This will be the last Zumba class before Christmas and will be the best yet! There may even be pressies and heck let’s have a donation bucket for charity while we’re at it! Spread the festive cheer while you shake your thing!
If you’ve not been to Zumba before, this would be a great time to try – we’re a lovely bunch, routines are easy to follow – what have you got to lose? (Apart from inches and lbs?!)

Another busy day at Dancewise Studios! It started with putting the show wheels in motion – so look out for consent forms being emailed/given to you in the next few days! Show logo is also now underway (thank you Simon at Ceratopia!) Can’t wait for you to see it! Got to see proofs of artwork for various bits of publicity (thank you Sheila at Windhover Publishing!) And then an evening of fantastic classes – Miss Sarah doing ballet for little ones right up to seniors as well as tap for kids and adults and Miss A had her lovely Tuesday classes of Modern, Ballet and Tap. Now plugging away at the pc (no rest for the wicked!) before a CRAZY busy day tomorrow!

Ladies often come to me sweaty and excited after class and ask “How many calories do you think I just burned during the class?” For you calorie counters out there, here’s the info : )

An average 60 minute Zumba class can burn between 500 and 800 calories! You may burn more or less depending on your intensity and fitness level. Much more fun than going to the Gym or pounding the pavements on a run huh?!

Along with the Zumba dance classes it is important to follow a balanced diet and drink lots of water – especially before, during and after you Zumba party!

If you’re looking for a fun new exercise regime, and you like to dance and have fun, Zumba is the best choice!
You don’t have to have any dance or workout experience when you walk into my Zumba class. As long as you have no major health problems, all you need to come to my class with is some trainers, and a smile! You will get an hour of intense cardio exercise just by moving to the beat, following my lead and enjoying yourself, with it never feeling like a workout. You will workout at your own fitness-level, and there is no commitment, you are always welcome to walk into my class, and see if Zumba is right for You.

Dancewise Studios annual Choreography Competition is this Sunday at 2:30pm! Choreograph your own dance and win the beautiful choreography cup and get to perform your dance in the show at The Nuffield, Southampton. Or enter the exciting Improvisation section – just turn up on the day with your dance kit! Or come along and support those taking part – audience very welcome and we have some fab raffle prizes!!
