Days of Dance
As it is now over two days, the 2008 Day of Dance event is going to bigger and better than ever. As always, there will be classes from Dancewise’ regular teachers as well as some exciting guest teachers. We will be holding sessions for Juniors, Inters and Seniors. We also hope to hold a session for adults if there is enough interest. The event will culminate in a workshop performance.
Uniform
The Dancewise shop is open for orders at any dance session. Please continue to use the uniform post box to order uniform or hand order direct to Jan (admin@dancewisestudios.com). Most orders are available to buy within 7-14 days of order. “Trying on” can be done at the end of your class, thus avoiding the loss of class time. There are similar postcards to pin up on the board if you wish to advertise second hand uniform. This is a private transaction between the seller and the buyer.
Exams
Many of our students will be invited to work towards exams in the Autumn Term. We will give out more information closer to the time.
Choreography Competition
This year’s competition is provisionally booked as Sunday 26th October at Manor School so why not start thinking about your entries now! The winner will be invited to perform their choreography at the 2009 show.
Reports
As previously mentioned, Reports will be produced for students at the end of the Autumn Term. If, however, you have any questions, queries or concerns regarding your child’s progress or would like to discuss any other matters, please feel free to book an appointment with Miss Alison.
Grooming
Please remember that no student should be wearing jewellery to class. This applies from the tiniest tot right up to seniors. This is a health & safety issue - I do not want any of our students to suffer injuries from their own jewellery or from anyone else's. Similarly, I don’t want anyone to lose jewellery that they have been asked to take off so please leave it at home.
Fees
Fees are due on or before the first class of each term. If you think you may have a problem paying your fees on time, please let me know and we can arrange instalments or a revised payment date. This really is no problem as long as I know in advance and can therefore make appropriate arrangements. However, following difficulties we continue to experience, if I have not been previously advised, we now have the following late payment system: loss of any discount in the first instance, if payment is still not received, we will then have to make a 5% surcharge.
General
If your child is unable to come to class please try to let me know, in advance if possible. Do keep an eye on the Noticeboard. I will try to answer queries as and when you have them, on 07725 054546 or principal@dancewisestudios.com Please feel free to approach me at Dancewise for any urgent queries. Dancewise needs a term’s written notice or fees in lieu should you wish to withdraw your child from classes. This is standard practice. Dancewise does not offer cash refunds. Any refunds given are at the Principal’s discretion and will be made by way of a credit to your next term’s invoice. Should you or your child introduce a new student to Dancewise, you will receive a free class on your next term’s invoice. If I don’t have a completed voucher from you, I may not remember to credit you with the class so please make sure you have returned it to me.
